Today's Flowers

DSC01436

This purple vanda orchids was taken back home in the philippines. I love this purple orchids because purple, violet, lavender color are my favorite colors. The nice thing about Vanda orchids is that the blooms will last as long as a month. Since these are tropical flowers, keep in mind the need for the type of sunlight produced in the tropics as well as the amount of humidity required for Vanda orchids to flourish. Someone also posted about this type of orchids. It just amazes me how these flowers adapt to our tropical climate. Love those purple colors. Have a nice week.

Purple is a Royal colour. It's no wonder that is your favourite. It is known for its calming effect such as in lavender.

You are in a favourable place to really enjoy the abundance of Orchids. My late mother used to collect them. When she left the town to join my late father in Manila, all her treasures were raked by anonymous passersby. Who knows?
